President Duterte, during a meeting with PDP-Laban executives on July 7, lashed out against fellow partymate and PDP-Laban President Sen. Manny Pacquiao over the latter’s corruption allegations on his government.

President Duterte was quoted saying “I have avoided actually the opportunity to say something about the presidency. Pero yung inaatake ka tapos with the statement of Pacquiao na triple, double ang corruption, umiinit ang ulo ko. I have been trying really my very best to curb corruption. Hindi ko maalis ‘yan overnight. But I have made some little progress in terminating, dismissing individuals. I cannot abolish offices, but I can dismiss employees.”
