A trial run of shared PMD (Personal Mobility Device) and Bus lanes is currently being implemented in Bonifacio Global City.
There’s a greater demand for setting up such lanes in our cities nowadays as more people shift to using PMDs during this time of pandemic.
These special lanes also prioritize mass transport such as buses which can move more people versus private vehicles. Bike lanes and pedestrian infrastructures have long been proven in other developed countries to help make roads safer and reduce congestion.
Could this pandemic be the catalyst needed for our car-centric commuting culture to finally move towards greener transport options?
